and in Px2dv2.2 version (the less bugged) i cant delete the green shadow.... why there isnt at least ONE version without bug?? in all yopur tuto video you spam click on RANDOM caracters.. you didnt saw your lkast version totally broke animation swap?
The green background must not be deleted, because all the images exported by the tool rely on this green background for calculation. If you don't like the green background, you can change it to any other color. But remember, you must not delete it.
I tried EVERY version, everything is bugged.. its impossible to create a cracter and change animation, if you click on one of the premade animation your caracter is deleted
this bug didnt exist in first version, but the 4th image and the export are bugged in first version and if you click on new animation It puts the new animation on the previous one.
its a fuking nightmare, its sad i really want to use this for a game
Don't worry, my friend. I will definitely teach you how to use it. Once you master its usage, I guarantee that it will definitely give you a great boost. All the movements of my characters were created using this tool. It's really very impressive.
The tool was initially released on Steam. At that time, the functions were not yet fully developed, so I sold it for just 1 dollar. Later, the functions were gradually improved. I wanted to raise the price, but Steam warned me that making such a change would affect my product. I didn't make any changes to it. Itch was posted by me later. I raised the price.
Hello! May I ask where the problem occurred? I can help you solve it.In the root directory of the tool, there is a help folder which contains the manual for using the tool.
You can take a look at this user manual first. If you have finished reading the user manual but still can't operate the tool. Please contact me immediately. I can send you the video tutorial.
Friend, I have also created the "px2d" channel for you. If you have any questions, let's communicate here. Don't worry. I will do my best to help you solve the problem.
It's incomprehensible!!... I'm going to do something simple: I have 27 animations, but if I click on one, it deletes the character and puts the default one back in. Why?? I create a character, how do I change the animations?? I press 1, I have my character at the bottom and a list of animations at the top. If I click on an animation, it puts the default character back in.
The character preview doesn't even work anymore in your version 6.1. And I have absolutely no idea how to change a character's animation despite your 70-page manual. I have 27 animations at the top and my character below, and I have no idea how to apply an animation to the character. It should be super simple, but no, it's a mess and incomprehensible.
My friend was very happy to see your reply. I thought you were so angry that you wouldn't come to my station anymore. Now I apologize for keeping you waiting. I have prepared a detailed video tutorial for you. I hope these videos will be helpful to you.
P1 first met Px2d
This recording was made at an earlier time and is slightly different from the current page. It enables you to get a general understanding of the tool first.
P2 creates a character
The second section is about creating characters, and this is extremely important. This will be used for changing the skins of subsequent actions.
Create a character generator, select the character generator, press the Q and E keys, and you can change the perspective of the generated character. Then pressing the F key will generate the character.
After generating the character, select the character generator and press the backspace key to delete it.
The character previews in the resource library are real-time, and this is a feature introduced in the 2.6.1 update. So, before creating a character, the preview area is naturally blank. No role.
After creating the character, the preview will be updated.
In the Resource Manager, the A and D keys are the shortcut keys for quickly navigating through the materials on the left and right pages. The W and S keys are the shortcut keys for the up and down page navigation functions.
When choosing the following materials, select them by clicking the left mouse button.
Select the type of the material, and you can lock it by pressing the middle mouse button. Once locked, during the loading process, the items in the character's hand will remain unchanged. This is particularly applicable when you perform life-related actions and trigger special effects. Because in the life-action scenes, the props held by the characters are all made of weapon components. For example, actions like watering plants, felling trees, and fishing - the tools held by the characters - are all made using weapon components.***This is of great significance.***
P3 loading action
P4 Export Animation
Version 2.6.1's shadows no longer need to be handled. The export is in a normal semi-transparent state.
P6 Custom Resources
In version 2.6.1, there is no need to make any changes to the configuration file. The tool will automatically load the resources now.
I am writing custom software to render the characters (so game engine can dynamically mix and match). The beibu, body, head, shou, wuqi pngs make sense. The are basically all down, left, up, right facing.
I can not figure out how the jian (shoulder?) and jiao (feet?) pngs are supposed to work. My questions are:
jian has 4 images; what do the 4 images represent jiao has 8 images -- what are the 8 images and what do they represent ? (and everything seems to only be left facing, no right facing)
With the other body parts, it seems to be 4 directions at 90 deg apart.
With the wuqi, 8 sprites at 45 degs apart.
With the feet and the shield, there are 8 sprites each -- but they are not 45 degs apart. Some angles seem missing; other angles seem duplicated ? Is there a guide how to use these components ?
At the beginning of designing the character, in order to facilitate animation production, the character's feet were designed in their current shape, with a black line. It has no direction. It's actually a straight line and an oblique line. This meets my animation needs. In my animation, I only used the first two images for the legs. What you're saying is repetitive, it's because I'm afraid there will be new demands in the future and reserved space. The image of the shield was also designed by me according to my animation requirements, and the existing 8 angles meet my animation needs. The feet and shield are not designed like other body components. So four directions are not necessary. The repeated shield is also a reserved position for me.
Hello, this is also the first time I have encountered this situation. May I ask where you come from? I come from China. Is there any way? We can remotely check and let me help you see what the problem is. I have been using the Win10 system and all the saved functions can be used normally.
I know where your problem lies, don't save it in the root directory of the software. You can save it to the desktop without any problem. Or try changing to another save path.
Another issue is that the software cannot be maximized, and the default size is maintained after opening the software. The green background cannot be deleted.
Currently, the software does not support translucency. So, if you need the shadow, finally process it in the image processing software. For example, Photoshop. Change the shadow to semi transparent. Remove the shadow component if it is not needed. I usually end up dealing with shadows. In Photoshop.
OK I tried to do a lot of things ! That's really not easy :/
The document isn't clear on how to export a proper png spritesheet (usable like your spritesheet previously released) and sometime, the first frame is cleared (just after a drag O.o) so I loose everything.
It's a little bit frustrating, I will wait next version ! Thanks for your work <3
Hello, I only tested on my win10 computer. I haven't tested other systems. What system is your computer? How to export png images correctly, the first thing to pay attention to is the total number of frames of your animation, and then the total number of frames in the lower timeline should be set. The second point is that the exported image is based on the green square background. The green background squares must be placed one by one. There should be no gap between them. Finally, you can press the number 4 key to export the png image.
After entering the software, press F1 to view the user manual. If you have other questions, you can leave me a message and reply as soon as you see it~Thank you for your attention and support~
Just bought and tried. And it's awesome ! The library is really really really complete, a lot of stuff everywhere. Not easy to understand how it works BUT, that's pretty impressive :D
First enter the software and press F1 to view the software manual. It describes various functions in detail. Press the space bar to play the animation. Px2d is a frame animation tool. We implement animation by modifying the components on each frame. You can quickly modify each frame by copying and pasting frames. There is an action library folder in the software, which contains the actions I have made. There are currently 8 basic actions, including standby, walk, run, attack, attack, defense, use of props and death. Users can modify their own actions based on these. You can also make your own actions. The first item in the menu bar is to open the file. Click it to open the file in the action library directly. Thank you for your attention and support~.~
In the future, component expansion packages with various styles and themes will be launched~

Which action template did you use?
Are you currently using the latest version 2.4.?
I bought this program on Steam. I was wondering what the RPG Maker button does?
I will update the action templates that support RPG Maker in the future. Contains walking diagram templates and combat diagram templates.
The RPG Maker button is specifically designed for placing RPG Maker templates into categories. It will be updated gradually in the future.

The shoulders and head are actually the same. It's in four directions. I made 8 directions for the feet, but only 2 angles are commonly used.
I'm confused by both the feet and the shield.
With the other body parts, it seems to be 4 directions at 90 deg apart.

LOL. Two black rectangles for the feet is brilliant. I didn't even notice until now.
Yes, it saves me a lot of time ~。~
Great package & expansion,
Thank you :D
Hi,
I'm using px2d v1.1.4.3 on windows 10 and it won't save.
I tried to save as PNG by pressing the number key 4, but the file does not save.
I've also tried saving as a px2d file, but that doesn't work either.

I'm from Korea and I've tried it on 3 different PCs (desktop, laptop, UMPC) and still can't save it.
Please check the video below:

Changing the savepath solved the problem.
Can you tell me how to fix the shadow being green?

Any support for Mac ?
Currently only supports Win10.

My last message was not question, It was a feedback about mac compatibility, It's work on my mac with crossover software emulatior :)
I haven't tested on Apple computer yet, because I don't have Apple computer. Your news really gave me a big surprise. How did you do it!
I run it with this software: https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover
