 Three advantages of using [Px2d].

Advantage 1. You can create your own character without painting

Different from traditional pixel painting tools, you should draw your own characters first, and then make character animation.

In [Px2d], you don't need painting, and you don't need any painting experience. You can create your own character. [Px2d] Relying on the huge material library, there are a large number of materials for users to choose from. Just select the materials you like, and you can create your own   role.

Select the component style of the head

Select the component style of the body

Select the component style of the weapon

Customize your role as you like.

Support the import of customized materials

In addition to the materials in the material library, [Px2d] also supports users to import their own materials for animation.

Advantages 2. Say goodbye to a single template and create unlimited possibilities

Different from the traditional paper doll system, there is only a single fixed action template. Because the action is fixed and cannot be adjusted, it cannot meet our needs for action.

[Px2d] adopts the componentized model of character body. Each part of the character's body is a component. It can be adjusted at will. In this way, we can meet the needs of our actions to the greatest extent. You can do whatever you want.

You can customize your actions according to different action requirements.

In order to provide you with the greatest convenience.

[Px2d] also supports action library. Some basic actions, such as standby action, walking action, attack action, death action, etc. Are included in the action library. Users can omit even animation production, import the actions in the action library directly and use them directly. (There is an action library folder in the software package, which contains its own action files.)

Advantage 3. One-click export greatly improves efficiency

[Px2d] Support one-click export of png format pictures. No matter you make any changes to the character style or action, you can export the resource with one click

I am writing custom software to render the characters (so game engine can dynamically mix and match). The beibu, body, head, shou, wuqi pngs make sense. The are basically all down, left, up, right facing.

I can not figure out how the jian (shoulder?) and jiao (feet?) pngs are supposed to work. My questions are:

jian has 4 images; what do the 4 images represent
jiao has 8 images -- what are the 8 images and what do they represent ? (and everything seems to only be left facing, no right facing)

Thanks!

The shoulders and head are actually the same. It's in four directions. I made 8 directions for the feet, but only 2 angles are commonly used.

I'm confused by both the feet and the shield.

With the other body parts, it seems to be 4 directions at 90 deg apart.

With the wuqi, 8 sprites at 45 degs apart.

With the feet and the shield, there are 8 sprites each -- but they are not 45 degs apart. Some angles seem missing; other angles seem duplicated ? Is there  a guide how to use these components ?

At the beginning of designing the character, in order to facilitate animation production, the character's feet were designed in their current shape, with a black line. It has no direction. It's actually a straight line and an oblique line. This meets my animation needs. In my animation, I only used the first two images for the legs. What you're saying is repetitive, it's because I'm afraid there will be new demands in the future and reserved space. The image of the shield was also designed by me according to my animation requirements, and the existing 8 angles meet my animation needs. The feet and shield are not designed like other body components. So four directions are not necessary. The repeated shield is also a reserved position for me.

LOL. Two black rectangles for the feet is brilliant. I didn't even notice until now.

Yes, it saves me a lot of time  ~。~

Great package & expansion,

Thank you :D

Hi,

I'm using px2d v1.1.4.3 on windows 10 and it won't save.

I tried to save as PNG by pressing the number key 4, but the file does not save.

I've also tried saving as a px2d file, but that doesn't work either.

Hello, this is also the first time I have encountered this situation. May I ask where you come from? I come from China. Is there any way? We can remotely check and let me help you see what the problem is. I have been using the Win10 system and all the saved functions can be used normally.

(1 edit)

I'm from Korea and I've tried it on 3 different PCs (desktop, laptop, UMPC) and still can't save it.

Please check the video below:

I know where your problem lies, don't save it in the root directory of the software. You can save it to the desktop without any problem. Or try changing to another save path.

Another issue is that the software cannot be maximized, and the default size is maintained after opening the software. The green background cannot be deleted.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Changing the savepath solved the problem.

Can you tell me how to fix the shadow being green?

Currently, the software does not support translucency. So, if you need the shadow, finally process it in the image processing software. For example, Photoshop. Change the shadow to semi transparent. Remove the shadow component if it is not needed. I usually end up dealing with shadows. In Photoshop.

Any support for Mac ?

(+1)

Currently only supports Win10.

OK I tried to do a lot of things ! That's really not easy :/

The document isn't clear on how to export a proper png spritesheet (usable like your spritesheet previously released) and sometime, the first frame is cleared (just after a drag O.o) so I loose everything.

It's a little bit frustrating, I will wait next version ! Thanks for your work <3

Hello, I only tested on my win10 computer. I haven't tested other systems. What system is your computer? How to export png images correctly, the first thing to pay attention to is the total number of frames of your animation, and then the total number of frames in the lower timeline should be set. The second point is that the exported image is based on the green square background. The green background squares must be placed one by one. There should be no gap between them. Finally, you can press the number 4 key to export the png image.

It's work perfectly on Mac with apple silicon SOC with Crossover (windows emulation)

After entering the software, press F1 to view the user manual. If you have other questions, you can leave me a message and reply as soon as you see it~Thank you for your attention and support~

My last message was not question, It was a feedback about mac compatibility, It's work on my mac with crossover software emulatior :)

I haven't tested on Apple computer yet, because I don't have Apple computer. Your news really gave me a big surprise. How did you do it!

I run it with this software: https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover

Just bought and tried.
And it's awesome ! The library is really really really complete, a lot of stuff everywhere. Not easy to understand how it works BUT, that's pretty impressive :D

Good job ! But 10$ is not enough for that :)

First enter the software and press F1 to view the software manual. It describes various functions in detail. Press the space bar to play the animation. Px2d is a frame animation tool. We implement animation by modifying the components on each frame. You can quickly modify each frame by copying and pasting frames. There is an action library folder in the software, which contains the actions I have made. There are currently 8 basic actions, including standby, walk, run, attack, attack, defense, use of props and death. Users can modify their own actions based on these. You can also make your own actions. The first item in the menu bar is to open the file. Click it to open the file in the action library directly. Thank you for your attention and support~.~

In the future, component expansion packages with various styles and themes will be launched~
